Family homes

KONTIO, the world's largest and most traditional manufacturer of log homes, will bring your dream of a beautiful, healthy and comfortable family home to life. We build our family homes from pine that grows near the Arctic Circle — hard, durable wood that is simply the best possible material for building your home. The wood from these trees gives every one of our homes a unique, healthy atmosphere. Thanks to Finnish design, every family home project we realise is full of natural daylight, comfort and luxurious cosiness.

Choose from a wide range of KONTIO models, which we can adapt to your wishes. We can adjust the layout and appearance of each model to suit you, and you can also choose from different beam types to match your taste and the local climate. Among other options, you can choose our unique SmartLog™ beam, which — unlike other glue-laminated beams — does not settle over time. This unique property of the SmartLog™ beam gives modern design solutions much more room to breathe.

Or you can design a fully custom home, exactly to your vision, so that it sits perfectly on your plot, serves your family's unique needs and matches your personal taste.

We build family homes in every conceivable size, from small, simple homes for one person or a couple, right up to large, luxurious, spacious wooden villas.

We build family homes turnkey. We can also prepare just a closed shell, or hand over the family home at any stage of completion — it all depends on what you and the investor agree.

Besides the quality of our homes, we can also offer a fast project timeline. Careful planning is the key to a fast build, and you can be living in your new home as soon as six months after construction begins.

Make your dream of beautiful living come true and have a unique timber home built on your plot. Thanks to the origin of the building material, KONTIO homes are also kind to the environment. Last but not least, KONTIO family homes are uniquely charming and durable. Browse the gallery below to see the uniqueness and variety of our homes for yourself.
