KONTIO bungalows are all about comfort and freedom. Like all our other homes, our single-storey timber houses are built from solid Finnish pine, giving every home a pleasant indoor climate and the ever-present scent of wood.

Our range of single-storey homes is very broad. We build these houses with a variety of floor plans — rectangular, L-shaped or U-shaped. You can also simply take inspiration from our bungalows and design your own unique home that fits your plot and surrounding landscape perfectly. We can offer our own architects for this, or happily work with an architect of your choice, and build your home turnkey, as a closed shell only, or hand over the project at any stage of completion.

The look of your home can match exactly what you have in mind. We build your dream timber bungalow with either a mono-pitch or a gable roof.

There is plenty of choice when it comes to terraces, too. We can build your home with or without a terrace, just as you prefer. The roof overhang can shelter the terrace, or we can build a separate pergola instead.

KONTIO bungalows work equally well as modern homes in the city or out in nature, for full-time living or as a holiday home. Depending on the climate at your site, you can choose from several beam types — always glue-laminated beams. You can also choose the SmartLog™ beam for your bungalow, a unique beam type that, unlike other glue-laminated beams, does not settle over time.
