The fire resistance of KONTIO beam structures was tested by the Finnish VTT Technical Research Centre to DIN 4102 and ISO 834 — with R30 and R60 results.
Tested by Finland's VTT Technical Research Centre
The fire resistance of our beam structures was carefully tested by Finland's VTT Technical Research Centre according to the DIN 4102 (Germany) and ISO 834 (EC standard) technical standards, with the following results: R30 for beams up to 135 mm thick, R60 for beams 180 mm and 205 mm thick.
In practice, this means beams up to 135 mm thick are rated for 30 minutes of fire resistance, while 180 mm and 205 mm beams are rated for 60 minutes. Both results fully comply with the requirements of the above standards for determining the fire resistance of building structures.
