Building a KONTIO home is not all or nothing. You choose the scope of delivery to match your experience, time and budget: from the materials alone to a finished home you simply move into. The rule is simple – the more we take on, the less you have to worry about; the more you do yourself, the more you can save and shape.
Homes are assembled by trained KONTIO crews following detailed production documentation from the Finnish factory, so the structure goes up accurately and safely. Technical support is available throughout the build, whatever scope you choose.
The plot, utility connections and building permit are your responsibility, as is the substructure (foundation slab) – it is not included in KONTIO indicative prices. We focus on what we do best: the house itself.
The most independent option. We deliver all the materials for the house together with detailed documentation and assembly instructions. You build it yourself or with a company of your choice.
We erect the timber frame and the roof system, so the building is quickly protected from rain. The most demanding part is handled by a crew that works with the KONTIO structure every day, and you continue on a solid base at your own pace.
Left to you: the substructure and all work from the moment the house is under a roof.
Who it suits: experienced self-builders and those with a trusted building contractor who want KONTIO experts exactly where a mistake would cost the most.
We supply and assemble the load-bearing walls, partitions, ceiling or upper-floor structure, roof system, windows and exterior doors. You start the interior in a dry building protected from the weather, without rushing because of rain or winter.
Left to you: the substructure and the interior finish — services, floors, bathrooms and fittings.
Who it suits: those who want to finish the interior themselves or with their own tradespeople. A good choice if you have skilled hands or trusted people for the finishing.
We take on the whole build, from design to handing over the keys – including services, floors, bathrooms and the complete interior finish.
Left to you: preparation before construction and landscaping; we choose the interior fittings together with you at the design stage.
Who it suits: those who do not want to coordinate trades, deadlines or budgets and prefer one reliable supplier for the whole build.
