Fragments of the past, in the setting of your new future
The area around the town of Sázava has a very old history. Two Slavic hillforts lie within the municipality's boundaries, where crystalline limestone was once mined for jewellery. A trail connecting the Slavic centres of Kouřim and Doudleby even passed through the town. A monastery was founded here in the 11th century, giving rise to the settlement, and later the town, that grew up around it. Many legends and myths are tied to this place… According to ancient legend, the monastery was founded in 1032 by Duke Oldřich — yes, the one and Boženka 🙂 — on the spot where he met the hermit Prokop (where, as the story goes, water was turned into wine).
Legend has it that Saint Prokop grants a wish to anyone who finds every star on the church tower. And have you ever heard of the Devil's Furrow? According to the story, it was ploughed by a devil that Saint Prokop himself had harnessed! You'll get the chance to discover this, and other tourist-friendly spots, for yourself. Follow the green trail to find us
You'll find the Sedliště cabin settlement, home to the KONTIO project, nestled in the Posázaví canyon, not far from the picturesque town of Sázava… just follow the green hiking trail.
The resort's urban design matches the layout of the plots and the architectural character of the KONTIO Nalle collection. This particular model was chosen for the Sázava development project. It's the most popular model range of holiday homes, one that became an instant hit, in Finland and worldwide, the moment it launched.

Nalle cabins are highly flexible and offer plenty of ways to adapt and finish them. For KONTIO RESORT SÁZAVA, we chose the largest version of the Nalle 50 model for you, with a gable roof and a special loft arrangement — a sleeping floor that adds a whole lot of extra space.
KONTIO Nalle is a Scandinavian-minimalist, architecturally clean building in a traditional style, with a 6.4 × 11.6 metre footprint, of which a generous 17 m² is given over to a covered terrace. It's no accident that this popular model's fitting motto is "small outside, big inside".
The ground floor holds a living room with a kitchen corner, two bedrooms and a bathroom. On the first floor you'll find the so-called "sleeping floor", as the Finns fondly call this open-plan space designed for sleeping. Thanks to this airy gallery, you also get an extra perspective on how the space feels.
